Piran and Trieste Private Tour

If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience during your stay in Ljubljana, a private day trip to Piran and Trieste is the perfect choice. We are going to visit completely different seaside settlements which are located comparatively close one to another.

First we are going to cross the border with Italy and  see the major sights of Trieste. We will start with the temple of Monte Grisa, located on the edge of Kras plateau and offering spectacular views of the area from the height of 300 meters. After that we continue to Miramare estate with beautiful park and a unique palace, erected in the middle of 19th century for austrian archduke Maximilian Habsburg. The estate is famous for its picturesque seaside location and perfectly preserved interiors of the palace.

After visiting of Miramare we continue to Trieste itself to see the major sights. We will see Trieste canal, a unique artificial construction. Visit the square of Unification of Italy, the largest seaside square in Europe. As an option we can have a cup of local coffee "capo triestino" in the old "Illy" coffee shop, famous coffee brand, which originally comes from Trieste. We continue to Trieste cathedral of St. Justus, with its unique mosaics from 12-13th centuries.

From Trieste we will cross the border with Slovenia and head to Piran, "the prettiest town in Slovenia". Piran, a charming town situated on the Adriatic Sea, is known for its medieval architecture and narrow streets. It's a popular destination for tourists due to its scenic beauty and historic significance.

I will take you on a walking tour of Piran's old town, including the Tartini Square, St. George's Church, and Piran city walls. You will learn about the town's rich history and culture, and have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding hills.
