A day trip from Ljubljana to Bled
Embark on a private tour to Lake Bled, Slovenia's most picturesque destination, and experience the beauty and tranquility of the Alpine region. I will take you on a day trip from Ljubljana to Lake Bled, where you'll discover its stunning natural scenery and rich cultural heritage. Our tailored itinerary will ensure you have an unforgettable experience, exploring the area at your own pace and in the comfort of a private minivan.
Exploring Lake Bled
Nestled in the Julian Alps, Lake Bled is a natural wonderland, with its crystal-clear waters, pristine forests, and towering mountains. Our private tour will take you on a scenic drive around the lake, where you can marvel at the breathtaking scenery and learn about the fascinating history and culture of the region.
Visit Bled Castle
One of the highlights of your private tour is a visit to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff overlooking the lake. Dating back to the 11th century, the castle offers panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Explore its many rooms and chambers, which house a museum showcasing the region's history and culture.
Pletna Boat Ride
No visit to Lake Bled is complete without a ride on a traditional Pletna boat, a wooden vessel unique to Lake Bled. The boat will take you on a scenic tour of the lake, where you can admire the stunning scenery from a different perspective. Learn about the local legends and traditions that surround the lake, and take some memorable photos to capture the moment.
Another must-visit destination on your private tour is Vintgar Gorge, a natural wonderland of cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear pools. We will experience a scenic hike through the gorge, where you can witness the beauty and power of nature up close. Marvel at the towering cliffs and lush vegetation, and soak up the peaceful ambiance of the forest.
To complete your Lake Bled experience, you can visit one of the local restaurants, where you can savor the flavors of Slovenian cuisine. Sample traditional dishes such as Kranjska Klobasa (a type of sausage), Prekmurska Gibanica (a layered pastry), and potica (a nut roll). Enjoy a glass of local wine or beer, and soak up the relaxed ambiance of the region.
On our way there or back I would advise a visit to Radovlica, which is one of the best-preserved XVI-XVII centuries towns in Slovenia. Actually, the best preserved house of XVI century in the coutry is located here. Besides that Radovlica is know as the capital of honey and gingerbreads in Slovenia. Also, during the warm period, I would highly recommend a visit to Vintgar gorge, beautiful place, which is known as a recreation trail since late XIX century.
