Another opportunity we shouldn't miss in the area is lake Bohinj visit. A tranquil glacier lake is much less visited than Bled, but not less stunning. They say "Bled is for tourists, Bohinj is for Slovenians". Make sure to include this picturesque place in your tour itinerary.

On our way there or back I would advise a visit to Radovlica, which is one of the best-preserved XVI-XVII centuries towns in Slovenia. Actually, the best preserved house of XVI century in the coutry is located here. Besides that Radovlica is know as the capital of honey and gingerbreads in Slovenia. Also, during the warm period, I would highly recommend a visit to Vintgar gorge, beautiful place, which is known as a recreation trail since late XIX century.
